is it just me or are we going nowhere fast? weve got maybe 2 people doing color tests and thats it. dont you think we sould kick it up a notch? shove it in to high gear? guys, at this rate well have a really really good test scene and nothing else by 2008. i dont mean to be a stick in the mud, but project airlex is going down the tubes. we need to figure out the problem.

I'm sorry, SNTW, but at least on this issue, you really don't know what you are talking about. There is no problem, and it takes a whole lot longer than this just to write the scrïpt. Then we have to record voices before we can do any animation! Designing even takes longer than this. So please, live with it. This is how these things go.  

I have to give credit to some folks on IMDB for encouraging me to watch DVD movies with the commentaries switched on.  In my ignorance, I would always see them as an annoying distraction, but I came to value them as much as any other main feature.

So, what's that got to do with our progress?  I'm coming to that.  From the commentaries you learn both the happy and harsh realities of what goes into making a movie.  Some of the general stuff I've gotten: live action movies can take anywhere from months to years to make, and as a rule, animated features take longer.  In fact, that's where I learned about what the whole "production babies" credit means--those are all the children born to the crew during production.  It helps you appreciate how long a film takes.  So, anything worthwhile is just gonna take a while.

Yes, and seeing as though we are beginning to write the plot itself  down, it'll take sometime just to have the entire storyline, battles, etc.. down. I can definitely say that this will take a good chunk out of my teenage years  :/
